Privacy policy
This page explains what information this website collects, why we collect it, and how we look after it. BTC Tyres & Auto Distribution is a tyre and automotive products business at Narabari Bazar, Kokrajhar, Assam.
Plain words, not a template. We wrote this for a small local business, and we describe what this site actually does. We have not claimed compliance with any specific law here. Before you rely on it for anything important, the business owner should have a professional read it and add any legal details that apply.
What information we collect
This site only gathers the details you choose to type into our forms: the product enquiry list, the bulk and wholesale quote form, and the dealer application form. Depending on which form you use, that can include:
- your name;
- your mobile number and WhatsApp number;
- your email address;
- your business or shop name;
- your address, district and PIN code;
- the details of what you need — products, sizes, quantities and any notes you add;
- your GST registration status, where a form asks for it.
We also record the date and time you sent a form and which page you sent it from, so we can keep enquiries in order. No form asks for payment card details. If you simply browse the pages without using a form, you can do that without giving us these details.
How we use your information
We use what you send us for a small set of business purposes:
- to reply to your enquiry and answer questions about products;
- to prepare a price quote against what you asked for;
- to check and respond to a dealer application.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it out or trade your details to other businesses for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your enquiry or application details for as long as we need them to handle that enquiry or application, to answer follow-up questions, and to keep a record of our dealings with you. When a matter is closed and there is no further reason to hold it, we do not keep it indefinitely.
Forms and where they go
When you press submit, the details from the form are sent to our own website backend service so that we can read them and act on them. They are not passed through an advertising network or a social media platform.
If that service cannot be reached at the moment, the form tells you clearly that nothing was submitted and asks you to call or WhatsApp us instead. We do not pretend a submission succeeded when it did not.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not run ad trackers. Because of that, we have no need for a cookie consent banner.
There is one thing worth explaining: your enquiry list is saved in your own browser's local storage, on your own device. This lets the products you add survive between visits so you can finish your list and send it later. It stays on your device and is only sent to us when you submit the form. Clearing your browser's site data or using a different device will remove that list, because it was never stored on our servers on its own.
Links to other services
Some buttons on this site open third-party services — for example Google Maps for directions, or WhatsApp to message us. When you use those, you leave this website and deal with that provider under its own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control.
How we protect your information
We take reasonable care with the details you send us and only use them for the purposes above. To be honest with you: no method of sending information over the internet, and no way of storing it, is guaranteed to be completely free from risk. We describe our care accurately rather than promise perfect security we cannot guarantee.
Children
This website is meant for people buying tyres and automotive products, requesting quotes or applying as a dealer. It is not directed at children, and we do not set out to collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information through a form, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If how we handle information changes, we will update this page to match what the site really does. The date shown at the top of the footer reflects the site; the current version of this text is the one published here.
