Enquiry & quotation terms

How a request becomes a price, and a price becomes a purchase. These terms sit alongside the general website terms and describe the way we handle enquiries and quotes.

What an enquiry is

An enquiry is you telling us what you are looking for — the products, sizes and quantities, and where you need them. It might come from your enquiry list, the bulk and wholesale form, WhatsApp, phone, or across the counter. An enquiry is a request for a quote. It is not an order, it does not reserve stock, and it does not fix a price on its own.

How we form a quote

When we prepare a quote for an enquiry, we work out the price from the specifics of that requirement:

  • the product and brand you asked for, and the exact size or fitment;
  • the quantity you need;
  • what is available with us at the time we quote — stock moves, so a quote reflects availability when it is written, not a standing promise;
  • your delivery point, if the goods are being sent rather than collected;
  • the applicable taxes — delivery itself carries no charge, but we confirm the area can be reached.

The quote we send back is the number that applies to that requirement at that time.

How long a quote is valid

A quote is valid for the period stated in the quote itself. If we have given a validity window, that is the one that applies. Where a quote does not spell out its own period, it is valid for whatever time we mention when we send it. We do not attach a fixed number of days to every quote by default, because availability and input prices change — so please read the validity we give you and come back to us if you want to confirm it later.

When an enquiry becomes an order

Nothing becomes an order until BTC has accepted it and confirmed it to you. The usual path is: you enquire, we quote, you accept the quote, and then we confirm the order and arrange payment and handover. Until we confirm, treat it as a quote in progress, not a completed purchase.

Payment and delivery

The payment terms and the delivery or collection arrangement for a purchase are the ones set out in the accepted quote and confirmed at order stage. Delivery itself carries no charge; how far we can send it depends on your location and the load, and is agreed with you rather than assumed.

If you need to cancel before dispatch

If you want to cancel after an order is confirmed but before the goods are sent, we discuss it case by case — what is possible depends on how far the order has progressed and whether the stock has already been set aside or ordered in. We handle these fairly and directly with you.

Warranty and puncture repair

Where a product carries a manufacturer's warranty, that cover passes through from the manufacturer to you; the terms, duration and any claim process are the manufacturer's own, and we do not invent a warranty period here. Ask us about the specific product and we will tell you what the manufacturer offers.

Tyre puncture repair is a workshop service done at our counter in Narabari Bazar. The quality of that repair workmanship is discussed with you at the counter when we look at the tyre, before any work starts, and is separate from any warranty on a new product.

These points are written for ordinary trading, not as legal advice. The owner should have a professional review them before relying on them formally. For the details of any specific deal, the quote and confirmation we send you are what govern it.
